Brett began his career as a financial auditor, reporting directly to CFOs after earning an accounting degree from the University of Arizona. That foundation in compliance, detail, and professional standards now informs his work at the intersection of media and technology.

In 2025, Brett led the acquisition of HARO (Help a Reporter Out), reviving one of the most iconic media sourcing platforms. Under his leadership, HARO has been reimagined to better serve journalists and vetted experts—including attorneys looking to grow their visibility and thought leadership.
